BOOK CONDITION GUIDE

WITH THE LARGE NUMBER OF ITEMS WE HAVE IN STOCK, IT IS NOT ALWAYS POSSIBLE TO GIVE A DETAILED CONDITION REPORT. WE HAVE, THOUGH, BROUGHT IN A NEW CONDITION GUIDE WHICH WILL GIVE A GOOD IDEA OF THE STATE OF THE BOOK.

PLEASE BEAR IN MIND, WE DO NOT SELL ITEMS WHICH HAVE COMPLETELY FALLEN APART OR HAVE PAGES MISSING OR ARE ILLEGIBLE. VERY OCCASIONALLY IF JUST A SINGLE PAGE IS LOOSE (AND WHICH IS REPAIRABLE) WE MAY SELL, BUT THIS WILL ALWAYS BE HIGHLIGHTED.

SO THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBES A CONDITION CODE AND EXPLAINS WHAT EACH MEANS:

AS NEW – As near as perfect condition as can be.

EXCELLENT – In tip top condition maybe with some light markings on the cover, but otherwise unblemished.

VERY GOOD – Looks in good shape but may have a few signs of wear. May have remnants of a sticker on the cover and may have a name written inside.

GOOD – The book is fully intact but has some signs of wear. It may have some annotations in the main text and possibly some underlining, but everything can still be read. Might be an ex-library book, but the markings as a result are not too intrusive.

ACCEPTABLE – This book may have damage to the spine and/or creases to cover or pages. There may be some considerable annotations and/or underlining but not so as to obscure the text. Generally these make a decent reading copy.

POT LUCK – In some cases we have multiple copies of the same play – the condition can vary but will all copies will be in tact and fully readable. There may be some underlining and annotations throughout. The photo will be of one of the books, we will send the best conditioned one we have available (unless a specific edition is requested). All POT LUCK books will be just £1.
