REVIEWS

‘You can sense all the way through this piece that the character (like so many other women) is sick and tired of having to endure behaviour that the men in her life think is acceptable. While the dialogue appears simple in construction, it comes together to create very poignant piece for this day and age. I think that if I went to see this with my partner it would inspire debate regarding the ‘vigilante justice’ discussed here and i think theatre that can inspire debate is rare but Paul Smith has created a wonderful example of it.’ – Rachel Feeny-Williams on New Play Exchange

‘There’s the law and then there’s justice, and at times, they come down on opposite sides of the fence. Paul Smith gives us an appalling situation for Faye to deal with, and she does it in a way that makes matters worse not only for her molester, but an innocent (in some ways) co-worker. The thing I love about this monologue is it presents us with a clear cut motive, but a murky solution. And isn’t that just like life? The questions may be clear, but answers never are. Another winner monologue!’ – John Busser on New Play Exchange
