This series of 11 very short plays are available individually and digital only on this website, but this is the collection produced in a small booklet.
The plays all last between 2 and 4 minutes long approximately.
The titles are;
A LIE-IN IN WINTER – Mum is getting breakfast ready and is having real difficulty getting Billy to wake-up and go to school.
A SHOT IN THE LIGHT – Arthur and Jessie’s peaceful day in the garden is spoilt by noise – time to do something about it.
ALL THE RESIDENCE MEN – Three ladies drink wine, chat and eye up men at their retirement home.
BRIAN JONES’S DAIRY – It’s time to judge the entries into the cheese category at the local produce show – who will win?
BRIEFS ENCOUNTERED – The Police have visited Mary, but why? All will be revealed!
EVERYTHING, EVERYWHERE, ALL OVER THE PLACE – A Mother has lost various things in the house and with trepidation enters her teenager’s bedroom.
LAWRENCE’S ARABICA – Two ladies are having coffee in a coffee shop – a takeaway is required.
MARY POPS IN – Billy and Dan are engrossed in their computer game – they are suddenly interrupted!
MURDER AT THE ‘ORIENT EXPRESS’ – A crime has been committed at the Orient Express. Detective Chief Inspector Pear is perplexed!
ONCE UPON A TIME AT PENGE WEST – A number of people are awaiting a commuter train to work. There is a slight delay in the service.
ZOO LOO – A visitor to a Zoo is struggling to find a toilet, an employee is slightly unhelpful.
Each play has between 2 and 4 characters – though ONCE UPON A TIME AT PENGE WEST could have as many as you wanted over 3.
The titles are based on film titles but the content is not.
Most of the plays are comic – darkly or otherwise.
