On a giant motorway of the not too distant future, a huge jam takes place. The occupants of a fully-equipped motorhome prepare to sit it out in comfort – and to be neighbourly to be those less fortunately placed. But as time passes it gets less easy and the situation and responses to it become grimmer.
First performed at The Old Vic Theatre London in 1974 with a cast including Paul Rogers, Irene Handl and Joan Hickson.
