This play was rediscovered by the Royal Shakespeare and given a new production at The Aldwych Theatre London in 1976; it was directed by Clifford Williams who made some additions and small alterations to the original which is what is presented here. A comedy of mistaken identities and ingenious intrigues set against the background of a travelling troupe of actors. The 1976 production starred Alan Howard, Jeremy Irons and Zoe Wanamaker – among others.
